- Do not write to your relatives, friends or spouses, they do not know your work-related character.
- Always update your references as you get new positions, your boss of 15 years ago may have forgotten you or even changed your number and worked for another company.
- Be consistent, if you want to write first and last names, do so for all 3 references instead of writing the full names of person 1, the title and last name of person 2 and then the last name and initials of person 3. Not regarding references: do not write married on marital status just because you are staying with your partner, if you are not legally married, write single or unmarried. Thanks
