It is alleged that on Thursday, March 4, 2021, around 05:00, neighbors saw smoke rising from a house in Extension 2, Tshing, Ventersdorp. Emergency Services were called and after forcing into a back room, they discovered Khune’s severely burned body on top of his bed. Only the back room was damaged during the fire. The police initially investigated an investigation, but after obtaining more information, the investigation was changed to murder.
Since Friday, additional cases of assault with the intent to cause serious bodily harm (GBH) have been reported, as community street patrollers and family members have allegedly been assaulting the alleged perpetrators for the murder. of Khune.
