South West Gauteng TVET College has the following craft opportunity in collaboration with Foodbev SETA. This is a three-year apprenticeship opportunity to become a craftsman in the following field.

  1. Welder – 50 students
    Ref .: OC / W / 04-Mol
    Molapo campus Minimum requirements:
  • Grade 12 with related math / engineering and design NC (V) Level 4
  • National Certificate: NQF Manufacturing Engineering Level 3 Apprenticeship – Completed
  1. Mechanical installer: 30 students
    Ref .: OC / MF / 03-Mol
    Molapo campus Minimum requirements: -Grade 12 with Math and Physical Science / NCV Level 4
  • Mechanical Engineering N1
  • Mechanical Engineering N2
  1. Electrician: 60 students
    Ref: OC / E / 01-Rod
    Roodepoort West Campus Minimum requirements:
  • Grade 12 with Math and Physical Science / NCV Level 4
  • Electrical engineering N1-N2
  • National Certificate: NQF Electricians Apprenticeship Level 2 – Completed

    Roodepoort West Campus Minimum requirements:
  • Grade 12 / NC (V) Level 4
  • Must have completed the following subject in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Mathematics N2, Engineering Sciences N2, Electric Commerce Theory N2, Industrial Electronics N2, Engineering Drawings N2, Assembly and Machining N2.
  1. Work-integrated learning Minimum requirements: Recently certified copies CV, ID, Matric and Certificates N4 – N6.

  • Stipend of R2 500 per month for 36 months
  • R3 000.00 per month stipend for 18 WIL months for commercial studies and 24 months for engineering studies.
